An exciting artistic eclectic mix of sounds and movement, Surabhi Ensemble - a Chicago-based world music group has been performing to a delighted cross cultural audience across the mid-West and USA for about a decade now. The concept and ensemble was founded by Veena artiste Saraswathi Ranganathan - with the mission of bringing together people to celebrate diverse global cultures, musical genres, race, religion. and color! Surabhi Ensemble has been delighting audiences with lush rustic soundscapes of flamenco music, mellifluous Middle Eastern Maqams, African rhythms woven into the rich sounds of Indian Classical ragas, embellished with blues and folk melodies.
